Backups

Zip files of the server folder. While the server runs, saving pauses for the copy, so the world is consistent. Pinned backups are never removed automatically.

WhenNoteSizeBy

Restore

The server must be stopped. Each chosen folder is replaced as a whole, so files added since this backup disappear from it. A safety backup of the current state is made first.

Backup settings

logs/** leaves out a folder, **/*.log a file type anywhere, world/DIM-1/** the Nether, bluemap/** a map render. Paths are relative to the server folder.

Scheduled tasks

Restarts with a countdown in chat, backups, commands and messages, at set times or every few minutes. Times are in .

Files

NameSizeChanged
Drop files here to upload them into this folder

Deleted files go to .panel-trash for 7 days. While the server runs, the world folder can't be changed. SFTP: port 2022 with your panel login.

Ctrl/⌘ + S saves. The previous version is kept as .bak.

Log cleanup

Deletes old log files once a day after 05:00 (latest.log is never touched). Patterns work like in backups.

Mod configs

Everything in config/. The format is checked before saving (JSON, JSON5, TOML, YAML, properties); simple files can also be edited as a form. Most mods read their config at start, so restart the server afterwards.

Choose a file on the left.

Ctrl/⌘ + S saves. The previous version is kept as .bak.

Change version

Every update makes a backup first, swaps the server and mod files, and starts the server. If it doesn't come up, the backup is restored automatically. Going back to an older Minecraft version isn't supported by Minecraft itself; use Undo below instead.

ModNowFor the new versionDo

Mods turned off get a .disabled ending (Fabric skips them); rename them back in Files to turn them on again. "Not on Modrinth" means the panel can't check that mod; it stays as it is.

    Busiest times

Average players online per weekday and hour over the last 30 days (). Quiet hours are good for restarts and resetting the outer wilds.

    Borders

Per dimension, distances in blocks from the center. Inside the soft border is the permanent area: it's never trimmed. Between the soft and the hard border lie the outer wilds, which a scheduled task can reset (trim) every week. Nobody gets past the hard border: players are put back inside, and a square one also sets the world border so they see the wall. Hard border 0 = none.

    Pregenerate

Generates every chunk up to the hard border (or the soft border without one) in each dimension with Pregen ticked, one dimension after another, so players don't wait for terrain and the map is complete. It runs on its own thread in the mod, only as fast as the server has room for, keeps going with nobody online and carries on after a restart.

    Reset the outer wilds

Deletes all generated chunks outside the soft border in every dimension with borders (whole region files, single chunks along the edge, also entities and points of interest). They generate fresh when someone goes there. Only while the server is stopped; a backup is made first. To do this every week, add a task in Schedule with the Reset the outer wilds step (it stops and starts the server itself), or use the preset there.

      Web map

A top-down map of your world for everyone, drawn by the panel from the region files (it doesn't slow the server and stays online while the server is off).

      Discord bridge

Players link their Discord account to play, chat goes both ways (chat only, never commands), game events are posted, and the bot's status shows the server.

      Setting up the bot (once)
      1. On discord.com/developers: New Application → Bot → Reset Token and copy the token.
      2. On the same page, switch on Message Content Intent.
      3. OAuth2 → URL Generator: scope bot; permissions View Channels, Send Messages, Read Message History, Manage Webhooks. Open the link and add the bot to your server.
      4. In Discord: Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode. Right-click your server → Copy Server ID, right-click the chat channel → Copy Channel ID.

      Chat and events

{player}, {message} (the death message) and {advancement} are filled in. Deaths and advancements follow the game rules showDeathMessages and announceAdvancements. Alerts go to the alerts channel and always show in the panel's console too; lag alerts come at most every 15 minutes, disk and memory every 6 hours.

      Linked accounts

Players link by sending the code from the join screen to the bot. They can send unlink to the bot to remove it.
